I'm, uh, me. Journal's mostly friends-only due to some stalker issues in the past, but I like friends. Even if I don't tend to notice people have added me unless they tell me somehow... so go ahead and add me if you feel like it, but if you want me to notice, comment on something. :)
I have weird obsessions, hobbies, and friends. I ramble about them at length. I try to say something meaningful and worthwhile now and then, but I don't think I'm terribly successful.
And I'm a bit of a geek. Okay, a big geek. Or a dork or a nerd, depending on your definitions of such - generally prefer the company of my computer to the company of people, mostly because the computer reacts in ways that are entirely predictable, and people don't. It's not that I'm socially imcompetent, or antisocial (well, maybe a little) - it's that I just don't always deal well with people, especially in large groups.
But I like to think that I'm one of those people you could stay up all night talking with, not even noticing that it's late until the sunrise sneaks up on you. Get me alone or in a small group I'm comfortable with, and you might have trouble shutting me up.
Oh. Open-mindedness is prized here. I don't expect you to believe what I believe - you're welcome to think I'm utterly insane. I'll respect your right to believe that, as long as you respect my right to believe whatever I like. (This usually applies to stuff that's more ambiguous than "grass is purple," if that's not obvious.) Feel free to discuss beliefs, just don't attack people who may have such beliefs. And don't be afraid to yell at me if I make sweeping generalizations about anything, without acknowledging that that's what I'm doing.
Yeah. I ramble. Go read the public stuff; it's a reasonably good overview, I think.
